You cried the day I left. Well, I like to think grey skies and rain spattered across the windshield means I meant something to you.
Part of me wants to say you were a detour. But that would be unfair on you and, frankly, inaccurate. My life the novel, and you’re a chapter – no less vital to the story than the ones that preceded you, or the ones that will be written after you.
So, here’s my Sydney chapter in pictures. Thanks for the memories, the lessons, the laughs and the sunny days.

Things I’ll miss about you
I will miss your sexy bridge:
I will miss your panoramas, the harbour that is your heart:
I will miss twilight on Miller Street, and Saturday mornings at the market:
I will miss this ramen, at Ryo’s, round the corner from our lovely terrace sharehouse – before I discovered this place, I never knew why people raved about ramen:
I will miss gourmet homecooked lunches with the Ti family:
I will miss this pub and all the lovely volleyballers who shared a pint or two (or more!) there with me:
I will miss sun-soaked Manly, my second home and the scene of some spectacular Sunday and sunset matches:

Thank you, Sydney and all you beautiful Sydneysiders. It’s been short but it’s certainly been sweet.
