resurfacing

Long time, no post.

So thought I’d clock in to my blog and tell you about my day. Not about the incredibly exciting things I’ve done, but more a pulse check to let you know where I’m at. How I feel and stuff 😛

It’s been a week and half since my one month trip with my sister wrapped up. It was awesome, photos here.

Today is day 4 of 5 of the mission’s annual national retreat. We’re here in Vilcabamba, about 40 minutes out of Loja. Weather’s good.

Feeling upbeat and positive this morning. Having fun not being very good at songleading. Reconnecting with God, being refreshed and reaffirmed in who I am in Him, and all He is to me. Did some Bible-reading and reflecting, diaried. Had lunch.

All good.

Had nap. Woke up sad. Spirit so full of so many different things. Talked to God for an hour. Unburdened, but still sad.

This always seems to happen when I have good quality prayer time. I cry and I feel sad. We talk about a whole range of topics but I still come out feeling sad, like my spirit doesn’t want to be here or anywhere else on earth anymore, because it keeps longing for its real home in heaven.

Yep, so that’s where I’m at.

Any comments, thoughts? I'd love to hear from you :)
